INDIVIDUAL ADULT THERAPY
If you are looking to better understand yourself and what makes you tick or why you do what you do, then individual therapy may be for you. In the individual therapy context, you and I will work together towards your individual and personalized goals.
Life work balance, stress reduction, self-identity development, family and/or significant relationship challenges, daily and situational anxieties, low mood or depression, self-understanding and acceptance, addiction issues, and facilitating a more mindful daily life approach are common areas I work on with individual clients.
ADDICTION SERVICES
I have experience working with clients with a myriad of addiction issues. To me "addiction issues" are behaviors (that may or may not include a substance) engaged in that impede an individual's ability to live the type of life they want to lead. Clients who tell themselves they need to get their behaviors in check, or who struggle to follow through on plans to moderate may be good candidates for more specified addiction services.
Addiction services are more successful when the individual struggling is the one seeking or desiring the service.
It is very common to experience hesitancy in seeking support for addictions, I aim to provide a safe and secure environment in which we can explore some of these sensitive areas of yourself and your behaviors.
**The addiction services I provide are on an outpatient basis and are not sufficient for fulfilling legal or court mandates. Additionally, they are not an adequate substitute for more intensive care where necessary**
COUPLES THERAPY
It is not uncommon for couples go through all types of stress in life. Stress that can feel like it puts a divide between you and your partner and you are not able to be the best versions of yourself. Whether you are deciding if your relationship is on good footing for moving forward, or if you are transitioning to a joint living situation, getting married, experiencing a significant life event, or thinking about expanding your family in some way, couples therapy may be for you and your partner.
Pre-marital counseling, Communication issues, feeling disconnected, relationship satisfaction, building trust & navigating mutual and differing values are some common areas I work with couples.
